Skate Zone Returns back to Louisville, Ky

After a nearly three-year absence, roller skating is about to make a comeback in southwestern Jefferson County.

Longtime developer Ed Alvey is converting part of the old Salvation Army Thrift Store building at 7846 Dixie Highway into the new home of the PRP Skate Zone.

The rink will take up about 23,000 square feet at the north end of the 35,000-square-foot building and is expected to open sometime this month, Alvey said. It will be open weekends and feature afternoon, evening and late-night sessions.
